Dr. Renodin’s roots with the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany go back to his early elementary school education in rural upstate New York. He never forgot his teachers and their kindness to him and to his family. Through his work over the years, he returned their generosity one hundred-fold. It was his vision, together with that of the Congregation’s leadership, which helped to establish a retirement fund for members of the Congregation that thrives to this day. His wise counsel and direction over many years moved the Congregation when establishing the Foundation in 1998, to name it in his honor. Dr. Renodin passed away in 2023 while residing in the Albany, New York area (see obituary). He had continued serving as a mentor and advisor to the Franciscan Sisters of Allegany even in his later years.
